TypingMaster

Privacy Policy

Short version: TypingMaster has no accounts and never collects your typing data — your scores and progress stay in your own browser. We do use Google Analytics to see how the site is used in aggregate (which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are from), which helps us decide what to improve.

What is stored, and where

Your lesson progress, test scores, settings (theme, sound, keyboard layout), achievements, and streaks are saved in your browser's local storage — a small storage area on your own device. This data never leaves your device: it is not sent to us or to anyone else, because there is no server to send it to.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand site usage in aggregate — pages visited, approximate region, device type. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes that data under Google's privacy policy. It never receives your typing content, scores, or lesson progress — those never leave your device. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

What we don't collect

Clearing your data

You can erase everything TypingMaster has stored at any time by clearing your browser's site data (or local storage) for this site. The in-app backup feature also lets you export your progress as a file first.

Children

TypingMaster is designed to be safe for learners of all ages: since nothing is collected or transmitted, there is no personal data from children (or anyone) to protect beyond what's already on the device.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever adds analytics or advertising in the future, this page will be updated to describe exactly what is collected before anything changes. Last updated: October 2026.
